Hillary Clinton 'Loves Hanbok'
U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton visited the Lee Young Hee Museum of Korean Culture in Korean Town in Manhattan on Monday afternoon, where she said she loves the bright colors of hanbok and has a collection herself. Monday's visit was part of a fundraiser for her political activities.

Clinton (61) thanked the museum for offering an opportunity for Americans and the descendants of Korean immigrants who are unfamiliar with Korean culture to learn about it.

The New York senator, who had flown into New York from Washington D.C. to attend the event, also spoke of the tense situation on Capitol Hill after the House of Representatives failed to ratify the government's bailout plan for troubled financial institutions. She asserted the need for a change of government in order to overcome the current crisis.

The event was attended by some 70 people including Lee Se-mok, president of the Korean American Association of Greater New York, and New York City Council member John Liu. Clinton had already visited the museum in 2006.
